Grand Design RV unveiled the Lineage Series VT, a Class B camper van that redefines what it means to travel unbound while wrapped in refinement. This isn’t merely a vehicle—it’s a meticulously crafted invitation to explore the world’s wild places without leaving behind the comforts of a well-appointed home. Born from a pioneering partnership with Ford, the Lineage VT melds rugged versatility with sophisticated design, offering a haven for adventurers who demand both freedom and finesse. Whether you’re a solo wanderer seeking solitude or a family charting new horizons, this van promises to elevate the journey to an art form.Built on the robust Ford Transit 148 AWD chassis, the Lineage VT is engineered for exploration.

Grand Design enhanced its capability with a two-inch lift, upgraded suspension, and a sleek, full-length roof rack, ensuring it’s as ready for backcountry trails as it is for highway cruises. The exterior, accented with matte black details and optional all-terrain tires, exudes understated strength. A relocated spare tire frees up space for a split-system air conditioner, keeping the interior cool in the harshest climates. For those needing extra sleeping quarters, the industry-first pop-top roof—integrated with 300 watts of solar panels—offers space for two additional sleepers, blending practicality with sustainable power.Step inside the LVT1 floorplan, the centerpiece of the Lineage series, and you’re enveloped in a space that feels both expansive and intimate.

Measuring just under 20 feet and weighing less than 9,500 pounds, the van is nimble enough for urban escapes yet sturdy for off-grid adventures. The interior is a study in thoughtful luxury: a queen murphy bed tucks away to create a generous lounge, while a convertible dinette accommodates up to four sleepers. Ultraleather upholstery graces swivel captain’s chairs, teak-style flooring adds warmth, and soft LED lighting pairs with large windows to create an airy, inviting ambiance. Every detail, from the soft-close cabinetry to the seamless paneling, reflects Grand Design’s commitment to quality. The galley is a triumph of form and function. Equipped with a two-burner induction cooktop, a 12-volt refrigerator/freezer, a stainless-steel sink with a pull-out faucet, and a microwave, it’s designed for culinary creativity on the go.

A butcher-block countertop and extendable prep space elevate the experience, while abundant storage—overhead cabinets, pull-out drawers, and a hidden pantry—keeps essentials organized. For off-grid living, the Lineage VT shines: a 400Ah lithium-ion battery, 3,000W inverter, and 300W solar array provide ample power. Dual 30-gallon fresh water tanks, a 10-gallon water heater, and a Truma Combi Eco system ensure comfort in any season, from alpine winters to coastal summers. The AquaHaven Rainshower System is a revelation, transforming the wet bath into a sanctuary. With a rainfall showerhead, porcelain sink, and marine-grade cassette toilet, it offers a spa-like experience in a compact footprint. Teak accents and a ventilation fan add sophistication and practicality, setting a new standard for production van bathrooms. Reviewers have praised its spaciousness, likening it to bespoke builds costing far more.Technology in the Lineage VT is both intuitive and comprehensive.

A 10-inch touchscreen serves as the command center, managing climate, navigation, and system diagnostics, all accessible via the MyGDRV app for remote monitoring. Bluetooth-enabled speakers deliver immersive sound, and an optional Starlink mount ensures connectivity in remote locales. Safety features, including a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, and 360-degree sensors, provide peace of mind on every journey. With a starting MSRP of approximately $218,557, the Lineage VT is a premium investment, but its value is undeniable. Backed by Grand Design’s three-year structural warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance, it reflects the brand’s legacy of craftsmanship and customer care.

As Tommy Hall, General Manager of Grand Design’s motorized division, notes, “The Lineage VT anticipates the needs of today’s explorers, blending innovation with real-world functionality.”In a crowded field of camper vans, the Lineage Series VT stands apart as a harmonious blend of adventure and elegance. It’s a vehicle that doesn’t just take you places—it inspires you to reimagine what’s possible. With production scaling for 2026, the Lineage VT is poised to become a benchmark for luxury adventure vans. For those ready to embrace the open road with style and substance, this van is more than a mode of transport—it’s a gateway to a life well-traveled.
