Markus Bryant | RV Tech, Mechanicals & Full-Time Travel

Markus Bryant started in a leaky $79 tent, swore off the ground forever, and has been full-time RVing for the last ten years. He's lived in everything from a beat-up Westfalia to a Brinkley fifth wheel, chased the northern lights to –52°F in the Yukon, and has owned and operated enough rigs to know exactly where manufacturers cut corners and where they get it right.

He's currently rolling in a Holiday Rambler Nautica diesel pusher towing a lifted four-door Jeep Wrangler — a significant pivot from the fifth wheel and dually he just traded out. His girlfriend and their dog complete the crew.

By day Markus works remotely as a mechanical engineer, which means when he writes about leveling systems, chassis engineering, suspension dynamics, or why a particular drivetrain holds up better than another, he's not summarizing forum threads. He's reading the same technical documentation the manufacturers use and applying actual engineering judgment to it. That combination — a decade of full-time RV ownership plus a working engineer's understanding of how things are built — is what separates his technical guides from everything else in this space.

His travel pattern keeps him comfortable. Winters split between south Florida and Palm Springs, summers pushing north — he's currently making his way to Vancouver Island. He stays mostly in RV parks these days, which means his resort and campground coverage comes from someone who has genuinely stayed at enough of them to know the difference between marketing and reality.
