Picture this: You pull into a downtown Portland parking lot, slide between two Teslas, and step out of a 24-foot motorhome that just climbed a snowy Forest Service road an hour earlier. That’s the 2026 Dynamax Oberon 24TBMA—the compact Class C that finally gives van-lifers a proper bathroom, 600 Ah of lithium, and a cab-over bunk without forcing you into a 30-foot RV.

Floorplan Walk-Through: 24TBMA (Only Plan—so Far)

  1. Cab
Swivel Mercedes seats, 10.25″ MBUX, wireless CarPlay, adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring. Feels like a $90k Sprinter van until you stand up.
  2. Murphy Dinette
56″ × 74″ table drops into a 38″ × 74″ bed. The entire wall folds flat against the slide, opening a 7-foot aisle to the rear twins—perfect for midnight fridge raids.
  3. Galley
    • 3.1 cu-ft 12 V compressor fridge
    • 2-burner induction cooktop
    • Convection microwave
    • Flip-out sink extension that steals zero counter space
    • Panoramic window you can actually see out of while cooking
  4. Wet Bath
Flip-out porcelain sink + cassette toilet = zero black-tank anxiety in national parks. Shower is 28″ × 34″ with a real curtain track.
  5. Rear Twins
Two 32″ × 76″ beds with 4″ memory-foam tops. Zip the filler and you have a 76″ × 76″ king that doesn’t require a PhD to assemble. Each bed gets its own window, USB-C, and 12 V fan.
  6. Cab-Over Bunk
350 lb rating, privacy curtain, and a 24″ Smart TV on a lift arm. Kid, dog, or drone pilot approved.

Off-Grid Numbers That Actually Add Up

  • 600 Ah × 12.8 V = 7,680 Wh usable
  • 300 W solar = 1,200–1,800 Wh/day in winter sun
  • 2,000 W pure-sine inverter runs the induction cooktop + A/C on eco mode
  • Truma Combi sips 0.1 gal diesel/hour on high
  • Four days boondocking with zero generator is realistic (real-world tests from Matt’s RV Reviews).

4×4 That Isn’t Marketing Hype

  • 8.5″ ground clearance
  • BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrains
  • 3.5° better approach angle than Ekko
  • Onboard air compressor port for tire pressure tweaks on the trail

Build-And-Price Easter Eggs

Log onto dynamaxcorp.com/oberon and click “Build My Oberon.”

Hidden gems:

  • Matte-black wheel package (+$1,200)
  • 550 W solar upgrade (+$2,900)
  • Starlink Mobility roof port pre-wired (no drilling)
  • Hydronic cab heat for −20 °F mornings

Where the Ekko Still Wins (Barely)

  • Pop-top loft on 23B adds two extra sleepers
  • Slightly lighter curb weight (200 lb)
  • Winnebago dealer network is 30 % denser in the Northeast

But if you don’t need the pop-top and you hate propane, the Oberon’s diesel Truma + cassette toilet combo is cleaner and quieter. First Owner Impressions (Hershey Show, Oct 2025) YouTube and iRV2 early adopters are raving:

  • “Parallel-parked in downtown Asheville—Ekko owners were taking photos.”
  • “Truma heat is silent; slept through a 28 °F night with 42 % battery left.”
  • “1,200 lb rear rack swallowed two e-bikes and a kayak—no sweat.”

Dealer Stock & Delivery Dates (November 2025)

  • Motor Home Specialist (Alvarado, TX): 4 units inbound, Dec 15
  • Freedom RV (Tucson, AZ): 2 painted Nardo Gray, Jan 10
  • Smitty’s RV (Ontario, CAN): 3 with Canadian cold-weather package
  • Build slots still open for March 2026; $5k deposit locks your colors.
